At Just 22-Years Old, Simone Biles Has Set the Record for the Most Gymnastics Championship Medals

Nationwide — Simone Biles, a 22-year old Olympic gymnast champion, made history in Stuttgart, Germany when she became the most decorated gymnast of all time.

Biles won her 24th and 25th world championship medals last Sunday which put her on the top of the medal charts, beating the record of Belarusian Vitaly Scherbo who competed in the 90s and has 23 total medals.Biles won a total of five gold medals at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, one from the vault, another from the beam, one from the floor exercise, as well as from a team event and an individual all-around.

Biles also won the fifth place in uneven bars, securing a win in all of the six events she has competed in.

Biles, a four-time Olympic champion, has 19 gold medals out of all her 25 career world medals.

Currently, Biles said she is preparing for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, which could be her last competition.
