Did She Resign or Was She Fired From the White House? — Omarosa Explains

Omarosa

Nationwide — Omarosa Manigault Newman, President Donald Trump’s aide who resigned earlier this week, says that she was not terminated or escorted off White House premises, but simply “resigned to pursue other opportunities.” But the United States Secret Service has confirmed that although they were not involved, she was, in fact, dismissed.

The agency tweeted:

“The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex. Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual’s pass which grants access to the complex.”

But Omarosa continues to deny such reports. She is also denying that she left the White House after a rumored confrontation with White House chief of staff John Kelly.

In addition, she is denying that she allegedly tried to re-enter the White House to confront President Trump about her dismissal.

Omarosa was one of Trump’s most high-profile African-American supporters, and received a lot of backlash from the Black community because of it.

The two met when she was a contestant on his hit reality TV show The Apprentice, and when he decided to run for president, she was hired to his staff.

Trump addressed her publicly on his Twitter account, saying, “Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success.”

But CNN reports that several White House staff members had a problem with her, and specifically John Kelly, who became the White House Chief of Staff in July 2017, wanted to fire Omarosa… and eventually did!
