Pastor Says “I Cheated” — And Then Drops Dead While Confessing To His Church

Bobby Davis, pastor died during confession

Bridgeport, CT — Bishop Bobby Davis recently dropped dead while confessing to his church congregation that he cheated. It happened at Miracle Faith World Outreach Church, the same church he founded in 1967 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Reportedly, the congregation had confronted their longtime pastor about his alleged infidelity. And so after Sunday morning services, he asked church members to remain in the church, and then he confessed to what he said happened long time ago. “He wanted to come clean with all of us. He wanted to ask our forgiveness,” said one churchgoer.

While confessing his sin, church members began shouting, “We forgive you” and “We forgive you” and other lines of support. But apparently the stress of all of it caused him to have a heart attack.

The local medical examiner says the exact cause of death is still pending, and will be determined after an autopsy.

Davis founded the church with his wife, Christine, nearly 50 years ago in 1967. Their humble beginnings started as just prayer meetings in his wife’s mother’s home, but in 1987, they were able to move into an actual building. In 1998, they even opened a second church which has since become defunct.

The couple, who have six children and eight grandchildren, had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
