Brooklyn, NY — A grandmother went home to be shocked seeing her family dead, including her 1-year-old granddaughter. Her son allegedly killed her husband, her stepson, and her granddaughter before killing himself.

Around 5 am on March 14, 53-year-old Patricia Green was left devastated by a tragedy waiting for her in their apartment in Brooklyn. She found her whole family dead because of the crime her own son did.

According to the police report, Terrance Briggs, her 27-year-old son, was found dead between a bed and a wall. He killed his stepfather Loyed Drain Jr., his stepbrother Loyed Drain III, and his daughter Laylay before committing suicide.

The night before the incident, Briggs was apparently trying to get back with his ex and his daughter’s mother, Olivia Callender, through Snapchat.

Briggs, who is suffering from schizophrenia, had just recently been allowed visitation rights with his daughter. He was off medication on Tuesday night due to adverse reactions.

“He wanted to get back together with her for the baby’s sake, a police source told New York Post. “She must have said no. He told her he was depressed because somebody in his family had died.”

Just a few hours later, he went on a killing spree using a .40-caliber gun. The motive of the murder-suicide is not yet established as told by police and there was no suicide note found.

Officials believe that Briggs has shot 57-year-old Drain Jr. first. His body was found in the toilet with a gunshot to the head. Briggs is then said to have shot 16-year-old Drain III while he was playing video games. He also killed his 1-year-old daughter Laylay whose body was found on the bed in the same room as his.

All of them were pronounced dead on the spot in their apartment on the fourth floor of Riverdale Osborne Towers in Thatford Avenue, Brownsville, which is said to be one of the most violent neighborhoods in New York City.

Patricia Green had to be escorted out of the scene as she could barely walk.
