No Charges For Nick Gordon In Domestic Violence Allegation… Again!

Nationwide — Nick Gordon has once again gotten away from criminal charges for allegedly beating up his girlfriend last month. The charges have been dropped after his girlfriend took back her statement and said the argument was actually her fault.

Nick Gordon, who has long been blamed for the death of his ex-girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, was arrested on March 11 for allegedly hitting his current girlfriend, Laura Leal.

It was not the first time Gordon was accused of domestic violence. Last year, he was also arrested after Leal claimed he violently pinned her down to a bed. They eventually reconciled.

On March 11, it was Gordon who called 911 while sobbing and saying that Leal was “acting crazy.” The police, however, arrested him when they arrived and accused him of hitting her in the face.

Leal initially stated in a police report that she picked him up at a bar and that he started punching her in the face repeatedly. But afterward, she changed her story and wrote a letter to the judge saying she was really to blame for the altercation and that the bleeding on her lip seen by the police was only caused by chapped lips.

The prosecutors then said, “With no independent witnesses to the incident, prosecutors do not have a good faith basis on which to proceed to trial.”

Since Leal’s statement has been retracted and the police have no other evidence of the assault, the charges have been dropped.
