From Extreme Poverty to Becoming One of America’s Top Mentors For Black Business Coaches

Muria Nisbett, business coach

Nationwide — Meet Muria Nisbett, who grew up in extreme poverty on the Caribbean island of Tortola. She was raised by her grandfather who was a struggling farmer, and her grandmother who baked and sold bread as a side hustle. Despite her background though, Muria is now founder of Coaching For The Culture, and she is one of the most sought after business coaches in the country that focuses exclusively on training other African Americans to also become business coaches.

If you marry passion, ambition, strength and tenacity, the end result would be Muria Nisbett. She is a dynamic individual with a life-long passion of bringing love and healing to everyone she meets. This passion has fueled her decision to become a Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapist, Reiki healer, Yoga Nidra instructor, and Business Coach.

After three years of working as a traditional mental health therapist, she found that many people who presented with depression and anxiety were mainly struggling because they are not following their passion and living in their purpose. For that reason, she has made herself the subject matter export in business coaching and developed a success formula to help her clients succeed in life. She helps them to turn their passion and purpose into profits.

A former Army Veteran, Muria has dedicated herself to creating the next generation of African American business coaches. Her company helps African Americans to launch a profitable coaching business so they can achieve the impact, influence, and income they were destined to achieve.

Over the past two years of training with the best, coaching with the most successful, and learning from the leaders in the field, the one thing she realized was that there were no African American coaches whose mission was solely to coach people like her. Most of them were open to working with any person from any background and any age, race, and gender. This led her to question, do these experts only possess vague general knowledge that is applicable to a wide range of people, or do they have a thorough understanding of what she needed? Her, an African American from the Caribbean, a single mother with a challenging background. Ninety-nine percent of the time, the answer was no.

Muria has created her business with African Americans in mind. Her mission is to guide them through the process of launching their own coaching business, so that they can adequately coach others like them. She wants to be a change agent for the culture and rewrite African American history. She comments, “One day our grandkids will write about us, so its our job to give them something amazing to write about.” For Muria, this reality is not in a distant future, because she already has two grandkids. One day in this decade they will have to write a Black history report, and Muria aims to ensure that she is an option to be written about.

There are many coaching programs available out there, but this one is different. It’s designed specifically for the African American community based on their unique needs. The program is 4 months, and at the end, you will have your own coaching business up, running, and seeing your own clients.
