Kayallah Jones, homeless woman dancing after job interview

Atlanta, GA — Kayallah Jones, a woman from Atlanta who had been homeless for 2 years, was so grateful after a recent job interview that she broke out into a happy dance and was caught on camera!

“I was excited. When I got outside, I didn’t know that the cameras caught me,” Jones told CBS News.

Jones went to an interview for a waitressing job at a restaurant. Dakara Spence, the restaurant manager, said she saw something in Jones when she interviewed her.

“She had like a great energy, I felt it when she walked in, she seemed really positive,” Spence said.

After acing the interview, Jones went out and stopped at the parking lot to do a quick happy dance. Spence decided to hire her right there and then.

“I called her phone and I said ‘I’m going to hire you and I seen your happy dance, so you can continue dancing’ and she was just screaming through the phone. It was a beautiful moment for me,” Spence said.

Jones was beyond grateful for the opportunity given to her.

“Ms. Dakara didn’t know but I was going through so much, and at that point, when she gave me this chance and this opportunity, I was elated, excited and so overwhelmed to the point where no one understood how happy and accomplished I felt at that moment,” Jones said.
