Black Psychiatrist Launches New Podcast to Reduce Pandemic-Induced Stress and Anxiety

Helping busy professionals that are tired of just existing live better.

Dr. Ericka Goodwin

Atlanta, GA — Meet Dr. Ericka Goodwin, a Harvard-trained Board-Certified Psychiatrist, who has launched a new podcast called Better with Dr. Ericka that offers a reprieve for busy, stressed, and overwhelmed professionals that are ready to hop off the hamster wheel of life and live better.

During the pandemic, 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. have reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. From virtual work to virtual school to sickness and death, this comes as no surprise. However, one thing COVID has taught us is the importance of being more present and enjoying life because no day is promised. But for the busy professional, this is easier said than done.

“As a psychiatrist, I encounter so many busy professionals that are unhappy, overwhelmed, and anxious because they give the best of themselves to everyone else, leaving themselves with the leftovers,” states Dr. Ericka.

This riveting podcast offers dialogue akin to having an inspirational chat with your girlfriend while sipping a warm cup of coffee. It’s the perfect dose of nurture and gut-punching truth for the busy professional. “Though we are all works in progress, I have figured out the system to better and created this podcast to help busy professionals do the same.”

With over 20 years of experience in psychiatry and human behavior, Dr. Ericka brings a warm and engaging dynamic to the conversation discussing topics such as Authenticity: The Key to Success for Women in Leadership, Let’s Talk About Grief: Dealing with the death of a parent, Surviving the Pandemic and Structural Racism as Entrepreneurs, From the Football Field to the Pulpit: Living in Your Purpose. Listeners will be motivated, inspired, and educated, leaving each episode feeling like you’ve truly had therapy.

“I make mental health practical and user-friendly to help people claim the life that they were created for.” Tune in to Better with Dr. Ericka to gain the tools and inspiration you need to be the best version of yourself.
