‘Monogamy’ Actress/Producer Caryn Ward Ross and ‘Jezebel’ Writer/Director Numa Perrier Discuss Living Life on Their Terms

Nationwide — It’s been said life is like a cup of tea, it’s all in how you make it. Actress/ Producers Caryn Ward Ross and Numa Perrier are two women stirring up Hollywood’s pot. On August 5th at 12pm/pt, steeped in deep conversation, the creative auteurs join forces—over a cup of tea—for an intimate dialogue on the weekly podcast “MediTEAtions with Caryn.” The “virtual tea party” pulls back the curtain on Numa Perrier’s creative process for her feature directorial debut Jezebel: Numa’s story, on Numa’s terms.

Jezebel, a coming-of-age drama written, directed and co-starring Perrier, was acquired by Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY Releasing. The semi-autobiographical film follows 19-year-old Tiffany (Tiffany Tenille) as she navigates her dying mother’s financial struggles. By working as an Internet fetish cam girl in the ’90s, the young woman uses her fantasy world as an escape from her real-life circumstances.

Jezebel premiered at SWSX last year and is currently streaming on Netflix.

Caryn Ward Ross is the Executive Producer of the top-rated drama series Craig Ross Jr’s Monogamy on UMC (AMC Networks streaming service with a focus on Black film and TV).

Monogamy was picked up for a 3rd season on UMC.tv and is available worldwide on Netflix.

Created by the husband and wife duo, Craig Ross Jr.’s Monogamy follows four troubled couples who sign up for an experiment called “swap therapy” in order to determine if their relationships are worth saving or if they should walk away for good. The series stars Caryn Ward Ross, Brian White, Jill Marie Jones, Vanessa Simmons, Darius McCrary, Wesley Jonathan, Chrystee Pharris and Blue Kimble.
