2017 Black-Owned Wine and Spirits Festival

Attendees at last year’s event

Washington, DCThe Black Owned Wine & Spirits Festival is pleased to announce its 3nd Annual event which will take place in Washington, DC on September 22, 2018 at Dock 5 at Union Market. This unique industrial space features 12,000 sq feet of space, 22 ft. high ceilings, and an urban chic warehouse appeal that is sure to impress returning and first time guests. The past two festivals have sold-out, featured a full day of events and introduced new brands to the market. Last year, with over 1,500 attendees, BOWSF spirits vendors sold over 2000 bottles and provided an educational, delicious and unique food and beverage experience as the festival opened doors to new opportunities for vendors, and festival partners.

This year, the Third Annual Black Owned Wine and Spirits Festival steps up to the challenge of outdoing two successful, sold-out events with plans that include more vendors, more products, and an even better guest experience in a venue that gives room for endless possibilities. The call for sponsors, winemakers, brewers, distillers, importers and distributors is now open. Retail vendors offering specialty goods, gourmet foods, bar and kitchen ware, and other products and services are also welcome.

The Black Owned Wine & Spirits Festival is presented FOU-DRE Vodka for a third consecutive year. FOU-DRE is a five-time distilled ultra-premium vodka, featuring a smooth finish and an unmistakable bottle design. Naturally infused with 100% real fruits, FOU-DRE is vodka with flavor as opposed to a flavored vodka. The festival brings together minority winemakers, distillers, brewers and distributors in an educational, networking and consumer facing environment to promote commerce and brand awareness. The festival is a luxury market style event where craft wine, beer and spirit companies as well as specialty foods and goods companies set up, offer substantial tastes and samples and sell their products. Live music performances, dancing, VIP experiences, delicious educational activities, shopping and more are also featured throughout the day.

The festival has and will continue to succeed in introducing brands to new opportunities in business and enhanced consumer outreach. The Black Owned Wine & Spirits Festival strives to ignite a movement towards widespread support of these unique small- batch brands. In previous years participating vendors have experienced unparalleled growth in their respective markets and beyond.

About Chanel Turner and FOU-DRÉ Vodka:

The award winning, five-times distilled vodka is made with a unique patented distilling process called TerrePure technology out of N. Charleston, South Carolina.
