Foxwoods, CT (BlackNews.com) - Presented by Volvo Cars of North America and produced by Global Diversity Group, Inc., the five-city 2006 Tour for Success will be launched in Connecticut on August 12, 2006 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino, Route 2, Mashantucket, CT 06339. The day-long conference--sponsored by Foxwoods Resort Casino and major corporations like SAM'S CLUB, Staples, and the National Minority Franchise Initiative-- brings educational seminars, interactive workshops, and business networking opportunities to emerging and established minority entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and small and large business owners across the nation. High Level Black and Latino corporate executives and prominent local entrepreneurs will be in attendance to offer guidance to new and mature minority professionals in New England on a wide range of techniques, including achieving senior executive level positions in corporate environments and creating wealth and financial independence through establishing your own business.

"We want to provide minorities with business solutions to meet the challenges of the new economy and help lead them to success," said Melodie Cunningham, event producer and President of Global Diversity Group, Inc. "The event will offer participants invaluable information that they can utilize to launch, grow and successfully manage their businesses."

Award winning political commentator and talk show personality Tavis Smiley will join the tour at Foxwoods as the Luncheon Keynote Speaker. Alberto Vasallo, editor of El Mundo, will receive the Legacy Award on behalf of his family's creation of the largest Latino newspaper in New England and Nadine Thompson will receive the Trailblazer Award for the thousands of employment opportunities for women she has created throughout the country by establishing Warm Spirit.

As a result of the quality of the events developed and facilitated in our 2002-2005 Business Exchange: Tour for Success national tours, Global Diversity Group was asked by attendees and our strategic partners, to expand the resources that we provide to individuals. The Business Exchange: Tour for Success has evolved into the Tour for Success. Given the myriad of issues that relate to our constituency of Black and Latino professionals, in 2006 the tour will provide resources to enhance their abilities/competencies in the areas of (1) Entrepreneurial Success, (2) Professional Success and (3) Personal Empowerment.

"Building on the success of last year's tour, we are happy to renew our sponsorship for the 2006 Tour for Success," commented John O'Brien, President of Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The dynamic, interactive workshops for all levels of expertise will focus on key business issues and trends. Topics include: "Steps to Financial Empowerment"; Personal Empowerment: Change, Grow, and Thrive"; "Managing Yourself as a Brand: Developing Your Personal Profile" ; "Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Financial Independence Through Wealth Creation"; "Navigating the Corporate Maze: How to Overcome Obstacles to Achieve Success"; "Art of the Million Dollar Deal, Who Wants to be a Millionaire"; "Financial Independence Through Wealth Creation" and interactive forums with leading corporate executives and entrepreneurs that allow attendees to ask questions of the experts.

The National Minority Franchise Initiative will be presenting a special session, "Franchising Your Future", which will introduce Franchise opportunities to minority entrepreneurs. "The National Minority Franchising Initiative (NMFI) is delighted about its new partnership with Global Diversity. Joining forces with the Tour for Success will significantly expand our ability to reach an even larger market with our very successful Franchising Seminars," says NMFI Co-Founder Rob Bond.

This marks the fourth consecutive year for Volvo Cars of North America as title sponsor of the 2006 Tour for Success. "Once again we are extremely proud to partner with the Global Diversity Group," says Sylvia Lopez Navarro, Diversity Marketing Manager of Volvo Cars of North America. The "Tour for Success" seminars provide opportunity to existing business owners and entrepreneurs through additional insight and networking with keynote speakers, well-established corporations, and other business owners in their community. "Volvo cares about the development of minority business owners and we are inspired by their efforts to become successful contributors. This tour will allow speakers and participants the platform to further develop their businesses, and invest in their future," said Lopez Navarro.

The event is open to the public and registration is $30, which includes a networking reception in the evening directly after the conference. Tickets to the power luncheon with Tavis Smiley are an additional $30. Late fees will apply.
