Thomas A. Hart, Jr. Joins Group Goetz Architects As General Counsel

Washington, DC (BlackNews.com) - Group Goetz Architects (GGA) hired Thomas Hart, Jr. as General Counsel of the firm. Prior to joining GGA, Hart was a partner at Holland & Knight, LLP where he practiced telecom, real estate, and corporate law.

Hart brings to GGA an extensive knowledge of the real estate industry, with particular emphasis on developments. He independently owns and develops real estate holdings, particularly Hartland Commons, which is located across the street from the Howard theatre in the historical Shaw district of the city. Hart currently serves as president of CLEO Condominium Association, a complex in the Soldier's Heights area of Petworth. Hart works with the National Bankers Association and the Congressional Black Caucus. He is also an active member of the African-American Real Estate Professionals organization (AAREP). Recently, he spearheaded the first "Visions of Washington" event at GGA that was designed to salute citizens of the D.C. community who had contributed to its lifestyle, urban-scape, and infrastructure.

Thomas Hart, Jr. earned his bachelor's degree in economics at Brown University, and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth, Tenth, and District of Columbia Circuits, and is a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court and District of Columbia.
