African American Martial Artist and Self Defense Expert Gets Inducted Into International Hall of Fame


Master Samuel Scott is inducted into
the International International Blackbelt
Hall of Fame in Orlando, Florida

Beltsville, MD (BlackNews.com) - History was made, on May 27, 2006, when Maryland's own Master Samuel Scott, one of very few African Americans, was inducted into the World Head of Family Sokeship International Blackbelt Hall of Fame and recognized as the creator and founder of a Martial Art form Talahib Kuntao-"Street Combat" Self-Defense, a scientific system of personal protection. This simple, yet highly effective self-defense art is now recognized around the world as a true Filipino Martial Art.

Master Scott is President/CEO and Founder of Full Circle Martial Arts Academy, a community-based school with two locations in Capitol Heights and Glenn Dale (Prince George's County), Maryland. With more than 30 years of training, Master Scott has received countless awards, honors and recognition. He was a Gold Medal winner in the International Police Olympics. He has been a Correctional Officer for 15 years (Prince George's County) and is a 6th degree Blackbelt and certified instructor in Filipino martial arts, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, and Shackled Hands.

Master Scott is a nationally recognized Self-Defense and Edge Weapon Expert and Instructor. He has trained numerous local and state police forces across the country as well as FBI agents. Additionally, he is certified and qualified by the Maryland Police and Correctional Commission (MPCTC) to teach in the public safety arena. He is also the recipient of the "Living Legend Award" from Master Robert Everhart Martial Arts.

Master Scott hosts a monthly award-winning Maryland cable program, "The Self Defense Forum" and he offers a VIP Private Training Program, Body Guard and Executive Protection Service. And, he has been featured in various news mediums - Gazette, Prince George's Journal, Fox 5 News, The Afro-American Newspaper, BET and Heart & Soul.

With his soon to be released (Fall 2006) book on women's self defense, Master Scott is on an unstoppable mission to teach women all over the country how to put their personal safety into their own hands.
