Relentless Aaron's New Book: "Bumrush"

Mt. Vernon, NY (BlackNews.com) - Positioned as the next big thing in hip hop fiction; Relentless Aaron has made history. It was a miserable 7-year prison sentence that served the entrepreneur a kick in the butt, forcing him to change his life and to turn his lemons into lemonade.

However, he not only made the best of his time behind bars, he also manifested his dreams and turned them into reality right here on the streets. Within days of his release, Relentless printed and went to Harlem's 125th street to sell his first novel, Push, a gritty epic about a thug who transcends struggle to become a real estate developer.

"Push was actually the 20th book I wrote," says Relentless. "I needed to come to the streets and slam dunk every other contender. That means I had to be deep, concise, smarter, and I had to give a level of entertainment that would go unmatched."

Unmatched, indeed. As reported in the Summer 05 issue of Black Issues Book Review, Relentless Aaron's books including; Push, The Last Kingpin, and other titles by the author have become national bestsellers among so many other urban titles. In all, Relentless has released 10 of his 30 novels as well as a how-to book I Did It - You Can Too, and his nine-year-old daughter's book ABC's For a Positive Me. Bigger than all of that, Relentless has also put his foot into at least a dozen other books by other authors and aspiring publishers. He has been flown in to sit courtside for negotiations with NBA players as well as real estate tycoons. Radio Deejays have stepped into his office so that they too can get in on the Relentless magic.

Just when you thought Relentless Aaron has played his every Ace card, the author, publisher, and visionary has struck again, only harder. In 2005, Relentless joined forces with artists such as Mobb Deep, Juelz Santana, Loon, Keyshia Cole, and Brooke Valentine as another of the hot artists endorsing and supported by Southpole, the popular $300 million a year clothing giant. The stakes grew even higher when Relentless signed Southpole to a year-long Readers Are Leaders literacy campaign which the author will take to schools beginning on December 5th. The program he founded is geared towards promoting literacy and encouraging the younger generation to read as much as possible. Joining Relentless on his school engagements will be other bestselling authors such as Kashamba Williams and T.B.A musical guests.

Still, that's not the biggest Relentless news. Not two years out of prison and having established a presence on television, radio, print and at more than 150 literary and social events throughout the country, Relentless Aaron has again struck pay dirt with corporate America. On November 1, 2005, Relentless signed a 6-figure, four-book deal with St. Martin's Press, a 75-year old publishing behemoth. His energy and pen-power are at least amazing, says a senior editor at St. Martin's. And if The Last Kingpin is any evidence of what's in store next, the planet has a new reigning champion on its hands. Something the world of movies will soak up.

An untouchable award-winning catalog, a helping hand for other authors, giving back to the community, book-to-film nominations, and backed by billion dollar corporations; are there any more blessings that this man can behold?

"We now have 20 new authors who have a total of sixty or seventy books that will emerge from Relentless Content within the next few years. There are three times that many who are still knocking at my door, trying to get onboard. And I'm talking all bets," says Relentless. It is clear that Relentless Aaron walks the walk, but there is no doubt that he has a running start.
