| Million Man March 10th Anniversary Prompts
Christian Composer To Create Song/CD For October March
Chicago, IL
(BlackNews.com) - In celebration of the 2005 10th anniversary
of the Million Man March, Chicago based label Warm Lane Music
releases inspirational single, "One In A Million." Aligning
with the theme of this year's October commemoration, "Millions
More Movement," the song focuses on unity.
"One In A Million,"
is the creation of Christian composer/producer Alan Curtis
Green, who felt inspired to write the song because of his
nearly decade long regret for not attending the 1995 historic
march.
In the vein of humanitarian anthems like "We Are The World,"
"One In A Million" speaks to the human spirit of inclusion
and wanting to be heard. Green says, "From the time the idea
of the song came to him, it's been his vision, that the song
help people to see this march as more than just a march but
a movement."

Since
being completed the song has been endorsed by Minister
Farrakhan, whose call for a million men to unite in
the nation's capital 10 years ago has resulted in many
organizations following with similar calls. Local Million
Man March organizational committees nation wide are
also using the song to help promote and build momentum
for the attendance of the multicultural, cross-gender
anniversary event.
"On
In A Million," is currently available as a single and
will be the title track on the forthcoming compact disc,
"One In A Million: Conversations." The innovative CD
project is an old school compilation of meaningful songs,
woven together with snippets of shade tree/dinner table
social commentary from white collar to blue collar men
and women, frankly discussing hot button issues.
