(BlackNews.com) - The Rev. Medgar L. Reid is a lover of life,
laughter and The Lord. He is the recording artist and author
of The Price of an Unfaithful Heart (G.R.A.C.E.) and
A Hip-Hop Faith booklet respectively. In these creative
works, Medgar shares the Agape Love known through all generations
and the price society pays for not honoring our promises and
covenants with this Universal Love and with each other. Mr.
Zachary McDaniels, a close friend, says "Medgar's character

Medgar describes
himself as, "a simple Human Being committed to helping
others reach their highest and most passionate goals
in life." Dr. William Sandiford, a global strategist
with Dr. Henry Kissinger, describes Medgar as "a stealth
global powerbroker and a humble conduit for business
relationships founded on confidence, shaped by respect
and held together with trust." He is The Founder & Executive
Director of Reid Memorial Community Ministries with
the Sick; Chairman, President & CEO of International
Capital Funding Associates (MRCA) and On-Call Staff
Chaplain with The University of Maryland Medical System/Shock
Trauma since 1994.
Recognized by The Mayor of Baltimore City, The Governor
of The State of Maryland, The President of The United
States of America and The Secretary General of The United
Nations for his charitable work, he has been named outstanding
African American father and a Ray of Hope by Black Professional
Men, Inc. He is a graduate of LoyolaBlakefield and served
as an Avionics Intelligence Non-Commissioned Officer
in The United States Marine Corps. Medgar earned his
bachelor's degree from Excelsior College in Albany,
NY after having been Student Government President, McNair
Scholar and Honors Student at Coppin State University.
He has attended seminary and clinical pastoral experience
at St. Mary's Theological Seminary and York Health System
respectively. He was awarded an honorary doctorate degree
by The Luxor Institute on May 3, 1998.
Medgar is a member of many business, non-profit, service
and fraternal organizations including National Coalition
Against Sexual Assault, National Alliance for the Mentally
Ill, Sigma Rho Phi Honor Society, Rotary International,
The Mason, The Knights of Pythias and Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Inc. He is the proud father of a beautiful
daughter named Megan.
