"The idea to make a calendar came from the positive response that we have received over the years from our customers and people in general in regards to our appearance," says owner Leonard Redway. "We are always trying to do something different when it comes to marketing our business and our services, and I believe this calendar will be one of a kind." Redway had a vision to create a company that would defy all stereotypes and challenge the cultural stigmas of African Americans. LR Services Plumbing was founded with the specific intention of demonstrating that we as a people through hard work, positive support and working together as a community are capable of achieving success despite adversity. Leonard developed an interest in plumbing and business at an early age, spending time with his father and grandfather on numerous construction work sites learning the trade and skill that had been a part of his family for so long. After graduating from high school, Leonard attended LA Trade Technical College and Southern California Pipe Trades Training to further pursue his career in plumbing. After completing his apprenticeship program with Local 78 Plumbers Union, Leonard became a California State Licensed Plumbing Contractor. The company's mission is to not only provide Los Angeles residents and businesses with excellent plumbing services, but to encourage community empowerment and development in urban communities around the city.
