special, Mahalia Jackson: Give God the Glory,
capturing the excitement of her triumphant European
tour of the early 1970's, with performances and behind-the-scenes
footage.

at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Gospel Music Channel presents the digitally
re-mastered Say Amen Somebody. This award-winning
1982 documentary, sponsored by Allstate, focuses on
two of the pioneers of modern gospel, Thomas Andrew
Dorsey and "Mother" Willie Mae Ford.
* June 17
at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Gospel Music Channel presents Ben
Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama Live at the Apollo,
a one-night-only SRO performance of the Grammy winning
album, There Will Be a Light. The show was produced
at Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater, with backing by
Harper’s band, the Innocent Criminals, and featuring
electrifying performances with the Blind Boys.
* June 24
at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Gospel Music Channel presents Gotta
Serve Somebody, The Gospel Songs of Bob Dylan, an
exclusive special in which today's top gospel artists,
including the Mighty Clouds of Joy, Aaron Neville and
Shirley Caesar reinterpret the gospel songs of Bob Dylan
from his critically acclaimed Slow Train Comin"
and Saved albums. The special also includes live
footage of Dylan performing When He Returns (Slow
Train Coming) during a 1980 concert.

of their lives, family, music and faith. GMC viewers
go behind the scenes for a tour of the private world
