of Diversity City Media, was honored recently at the African
American Empowerment Weekend in Washington, DC. The networking
event and conference was held at the famous Omni Shoreham
Hotel.
Lee was a panelist
and recipient of the "Legacy Rising Star Award" which honored
him for his accomplishments in Black media and communications.
His company is responsible for the creation and production
of BlackNews.com and BlackPR.com - a popular online newspaper
and newswire service.
Other
recipients of awards included Dick Gregory (comedian and activist),
George Fraser (author and power networker), Bern Nadette Stanis
(actress and author), and more.
About The African American Empowerment Weekend:
The African American Empowerment Weekend (AAEW) is a
three day program with sessions designed to empower
African-American men, women and children as they strive
to become entrepreneurs, as well as assist current entrepreneurs
to excel and build a lasting legacy.
