29th Annual Blacks In Government National Training Conference
"Meeting The Challenges of a Changing Work Place"
Nashville, TN (BlackNews.com) - Blacks In Government (BIG) will host its 29th Annual National Training Conference (NTC) in Nashville, Tennessee August 13 – 17, 2007. Region IV at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center will host the Conference. Although this training conference is geared to Federal, State, and local government personnel, nongovernmental personnel can also benefit from this world-class training.
Blacks In Government's National Training Conference has become synonymous with quality and value since 1978. Year after year, our gifted presenters coupled with relevant workshops have produced thousands of highly satisfied attendees and participants.
This year, Blacks In Government is again excited to have two outstanding speakers for the Opening and Closing Plenary Sessions. Dr. Calvin Mackie is an award winning mentor, an international renowned motivational speaker and successful entrepreneur. Dr. Mackie is an Associate Engineering Professor at Tulane University, and will serve as the Opening Plenary Speaker. The most sought after Dr. Julia Hare, National Executive Director of the Black Think Tank is a dynamic motivational lecturer, relationship expert, and author, social commentator and educational psychologist will serve as this year's Closing Plenary Speaker.

The Conference will also hold a health forum and daily health screening. The health forum will highlight health disparities in the minority community, which include obesity.

With chapters throughout the United States, Europe and the Pacific representing more than 3.5 million Federal, State and local civil servants, BIG continues to be the largest organization dedicated to the preservation and professional development of the Black civil servant.
