Mr.
Rose, along with AAPP co-founders Niani Colon, Associate
Publisher, Genesis Press, Inc. and Adrienne Ingrum,
Associate Publisher, Black Issues Book Review, had spent
months creating and planning the initial pavilion for
the purpose of adding "strength by numbers" and thereby
creating a better business opportunity for all booksellers
and book publishers involved.
This year, with Niani Colon, as the "Official Coordinator"
of the AAPP for the BEA, the Pavilion promises to be
even larger than ever.
According to Jason Krulewitz, Sales Manager, BEA, "Book
Expo America remains quite pleased with the Pavilion
and has given it our full support".
For the second year, The African American Publishers
Pavilion at Book Expo America will welcome back:
Amber Communications Group, Inc. (Booth #1233), FYOS
Entertainment, LLC Booth #1225), Black Issues Book Review
(Booth #1227), Just Us Books, Inc. (Booth #1222), Genesis
Press (Booth #1224) and Strebor Books International
(Booth #1240).
First-time Pavilion Exhibitors will include: BlackBoard
Bestsellers (Booth #TBA), Afrikan World Books (Booth
#1235), Relentless Content (Booth # 1224), Kaden Publishing
(Booth #1237); Q-Boro Books (Booth #1238); and InTime
Publishing (Booth #TBA), with more African American
Exhibitors being added each week.
"We
are still seeking African American book publishers who
meet the criteria for exhibiting in the African American
Publishers Pavilion at Book Expo America", stated Co-Founder
Tony Rose. "All interested publishers should mail their
catalogue and mail or e-mail the number of titles in
their catalogue, number of years in business and their
company's publishing genre or categories. Please include
your name, company name, address, phone number and email
address",
All inquiries should be directed to:
