"I
had just graduated," says Mr. Bible, "and I was unemployed
working a few odd jobs and gigs. That's when God laid
on my heart to write a novel."
Montré continues to say that he majored in art and that
his college professor suggested he take a career in
writing because his papers were so colorful.
"Writing
was far from my mind at that time, all I knew was art,
but I realized that life was short and if I died tomorrow
what could I say I contributed to the world, so I said,
what the heck, let me try!" So what else would Montré
Bible write about but angels?
"I've
always had a fascination with the spiritual world and
both my parents are ministers so we talk a lot about
stuff like that," says Montré. It took him one year
to complete the novel and as if it were destiny, he
was picked up by Walk Worthy press and Warner books.
Three years later his debut novel, Heaven Sent
was on the shelf in major book stores across the country.
Mr. Bible talks on how he respects those who've gone
the self-publishing route but just felt God wanted him
to reach the masses through mainstream distribution.
Heaven
Sent is a thrilling adventure of how a young 17
year old boy name Andrew realizes he has a power to
read the souls of others and later discovers that he
is a descendent of an age old fallen angel bent of using
Andrew's power for evil. Andrew has to learn to use
his power for God all the while attempting to live a
normal life of a teen. It's the first of a series of
books that Mr. Bible is writing and the second novel
of the series will be released in Fall 2006.
"I'm
blessed and I hope my novel, Heaven Sent, will
bless other people as well."
Montré Bible is from Dallas, Texas and graduated from
Texas A&M-Commerce. He is a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity.
