Ann Arbor, MI (BlackNews.com) - Kwame Jackson, CEO of Legacy Holdings LLC and runner up on the inaugural season of television's The Apprentice, will serve as the keynote speaker of The Alfred L. Edwards 31st Annual BBSA Conference. The theme of this year's conference is Pathways to Prosperity: Building Wealth in Our Communities. This capstone event will be hosted by the Black Business Students Association (BBSA) of the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business on February 16-18, 2007 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The weekend will culminate with Jackson speaking on the evening of Saturday, February 17th at the Four Points Sheraton.

"I am honored to be a part of The Alfred L. Edwards 31st Annual BBSA Conference," Jackson said. "The theme of this year's conference is very important to me, not only because it directly impacts my life's work, but because it is integral to the success and well being of so many people."

The BBSA conference was started as a mechanism to bring African-American business school students and alumni together to share experiences, knowledge, and insights. This year's event will continue in that tradition with even more students, alumni, family and friends. The agenda is packed with dynamic business panels, networking events and speakers including personal finance expert Lynnette Khalfani; Co-Founder, Inner City Broadcasting and Synematics Inc, Percy E. Sutton; and Quintin Primo III, Chairman and CEO, Capri Capital. The conference will kickoff on Friday night with a performance by singer/songwriter, Erik Rico. "We're excited to have Kwame Jackson and so many stellar speakers joining us this year," commented Alexander Sutton, President of the BBSA. "Their participation directly relates to the theme of this year's conference and Mr. Jackson's presentation will no doubt serve as an excellent way to conclude what is sure to be a very inspirational and memorable event."

The Alfred L. Edwards 31st Annual BBSA Conference is named after a professor emeritus from the University of Michigan (UM) that led the charge for diversity within the halls of UM's nationally ranked business school. The 2007 platinum sponsors include John Deere, American Express, and UBS. The BBSA Conference is open to the public.
