NAACP Entry Wins Adcandy National Ad Writing Competition

New York, NY (BlackNews.com) - Adcandy, the world's first virtual ad agency, is pleased to announce that H. Renay Anderson of Austin, Texas is the winner of its first ever Non-Profit Organization slogan writing contest.

Her entry "The Doors are Open, Lets Walk In Together" was submitted for the NAACP. The competition asked the public to come up with slogans for any of the more than 150 Public Service Organizations listed in its database. Entrants submitted to organizations as disparate as the GOP and Greenpeace.

The purpose of Adcandy is to put the creative power of consumers behind quality advertising. Every month, Adcandy holds advertising and marketing competitions for the public to come up with original ideas for real brand-name products.

"Renay's entry does so many things at once - its poetic, its a call to action, it stresses unity and conciliation," say Per Hoffman, president of Adcandy. "It gave me goose bumps when I read it. I wasn't surprised to learn she is a published author. The timing isn't bad either, as the NAACP has recently elected a new president, Bruce Gordon, formerly of Verizon."

Some other great entries to this contest include: "If You Still Believe in Freedom, You Are Not Alone - Libertarian Party; There is a Light That Never Goes Out - Human Rights Watch; "You... And this Army" - US ARMY; "Girl Scouts Today Are Successful Women Tomorrow" - Girl Scouts of America; "Visit your MoMA Every Once and a While - Museum of Modern Art; "A Voice For Those Who Can Only Bark, Meow, Chirp, and Growl" - ASPCA; "Breathe Easy, Breathe Well" - American Lung Association.

Adcandy competitions this month include writing a tagline for the Da Vinci Code movie as well as coming up with a slogan for coffee chains.
