Nationwide (July 30, 2013) -- Acclaimed Christian Fiction writer and author of A Generation of Curses, Patricia Ann Bridewell returns to attend the 11th annual National Book Club Conference (NBCC) to be held August 2-4, 2013 at the Atlanta Buckhead Marriott in Atlanta, GA. Bridewell's works have received excellent reviews. A Generation of Curses was recently nominated in the category of Christian Fiction for the "Readers Favorite Annual International Award." Bridewell contributed short stories to the award-winning anthologies Gumbo for the Soul: Women of Honor - Pink Edition, Keeping the Faith (Faith Series), and Fire and Desire. Her professional articles have been published in the "Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper," "Advance for Nurses Magazine," and multiple online publications.
Bridewell joins author Raye Mitchell to host the "Fixer" party at the NBCC to raise awareness and support the innovative programs designed to help "fix" many of the challenges that girls face as obstacles to their success. The fixer party will take place in the Chastain Ballroom of the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Conference Center Friday, August 2, 2013, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Dr. Raye Mitchell, the San Francisco Bay Area author, social entrepreneur and real life "Fixer" will also arrive in Atlanta on August 2nd to attend the NBCC. The groundbreaking writer will join dynamic colleagues attending the conference to discuss her non-fiction book on innovation and change, The Laws of the New Game Changers: How to Make Breakthroughs That Take You Forward. During the conference, Dr. Mitchell will excitedly introduce to Atlanta audiences her new fictional book series now in development, The Harvard Litigator: The Fixer for the Little Guy.

The reception will help raise awareness of the need to support and mentor girls of color to become global leaders. About Patricia Ann Bridewell
Patricia A. Bridewell was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her mother handed her a book in early childhood, and an immersion into the lives of fictional characters led to her passion for reading.
Bridewell's dream of becoming a registered nurse came true when she earned an Associate of Science in Nursing Degree from Los Angeles Southwest College nearly twenty years ago. While working in the Emergency Room, she went back to school and completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Holy Names University, and Master of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Mary's College. She is a registered nurse and full-time nursing professor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science; second Vice President of G.U.R.L.S. Rock Global Leadership Program. She holds memberships in American Christian Fiction Writers, Hurston/Wright Foundation; International Black Writers and Artists - Los Angeles; Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing - Xi Chapter; and the Black Council of Nurses.
Above all, she loves the Lord. West Angeles Church of God in Christ has been her church home for twenty-one years. Bridewell loves music, reading, writing, and spending time with her children and family. Her third novel is under consideration for agent representation, and she is currently working on her fourth work of fiction.
