Scottsdale, AZ (July 31, 2012) -- Pamela Springer, a licensed educator and founder of The Skin & Makeup Institute of Arizona, will be demonstrating razor bump treatments for barbers who want to administer professional chair treatments to their clients. Reportedly, 60 percent of black men are afflicted with this disorder. This anomaly is generally accompanied with ingrown hairs. It has been proven that administering professional treatments to clients using a home care regimen, they will experience long-term results.
Springer comments, "As an educator I travel throughout the country training licensed technicians on clinical treatments that have been proven to resolve most ethnic skin conditions. First, the professional needs to understand the mechanism or the unique structure of black skins. The next step is the understanding of result-oriented, skin-friendly ingredients that will not irritate or lead to hyperpigmentation."
She continues, "I have found that most licensed training facilities are not equipped with enough information or educational material on black skin care. To seek this knowledge after graduating from an aesthetic school, I interned for almost a year with a dermatologist who was, at that time, an associate professor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, a Historically Black College and University. This training gave me the tools necessary to disregard the myths and provide corrective clinical treatments to ethnic skin."
Springer will introduce Global Skin Solutions, a complete line of professional products that address the common skin conditions of the ethnic population. Most products tackling these conditions are over-the-counter and offer only temporary results. The benefit of adding professional treatments is now the client will receive long-term results. The product formulation includes higher quality ingredients at percentages that only licensed professionals can administer. Global Skin Solutions' products underwent a rigorous 6-month trial study and received an endorsement by board certified dermatologist, Toni C. Stockton, MD. Dr. Stockton has been the Dermatology consultant for the NBA's Phoenix Suns, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the AFL
