The NSN conference provides a unique opportunity to interface with sales professionals that represent all industries from around the country. In addition, attendees are able to have one-on-one conversations with Vice Presidents of Sales from some of the leading companies in the U.S. The annual NSN conference has the dubious distinction of having the highest concentration of African-American Vice Presidents of Sales than any other annual meeting or professional conference in the world.
The keynote speaker this year is the incomparable Dr. Julianne Malveaux, President of Bennett College for Women. Recognized for her progressive and insightful observation, Dr. Malveaux is also an economist, author and commentator. She has been described by Dr. Cornel West as "the most iconoclastic public intellectual in the country." Dr. Malveaux's contributions to the public dialogue on issues such as race, culture, gender, and their economic impacts, are shaping public opinion in 21st century America.
The National Sales Network was founded by a group of African-American sales and sales management professionals in Newark, New Jersey in June 1992. The initial purpose and objective was to develop a national organization that could meet the needs of the African-American sales professional. Several well-established Black professional organizations served as examples of how instrumental an organization of this magnitude could be in providing networking opportunities for sales professionals.
Since the inception of the National Sales Network, the organization has experienced explosive growth. Chapters have been established in Newark, NJ; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Detroit, MI; Charlotte, NC; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO; Memphis, TN; Charlotte, NC and Oakland/Bay Area, CA.
NSN was formed to fill the void created by the lack of a professional organizations designed to specifically meet the needs of African-American sales and sales management professionals. The original purpose of the organization was and still is to enhance the skill development of sales and sales management professionals while providing a forum for networking within the profession.
At NSN, we welcome your involvement, commitment, and financial contributions to help support and carry out our community unification initiatives, goals, and special events.
