Las Vegas, NV (BlackNews.com) - Award-winning author and social entrepreneur Dr. Farrah Gray representing the next generation following Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and President Barack Obama. He followed in President Barack Obama's footsteps as keynote speaker at the Living the Dream For One America 27th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Scholarship Banquet, a celebration dedicated to students' academic achievements and aspirations.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee of Las Vegas proudly welcomed Dr. Gray to this year's celebratory event. Living the Dream For One America exemplifies the change that has come to America with President Barack Obama's inauguration and the continuous celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
"It is the aim of this committee to forge the evening into an event that would stimulate all of us, to find our place in the dream and to challenge each of us to put our hands to plow as we move in the direction of keeping Dr. King's dream alive as individuals and a community," said Banquet Chairperson Sparkle French.
Dr. Gray was profiled by Upscale Magazine as one of 20 modern history makers and he was also featured by AOL Black Voices as making Black History 365. Dr. Gray was also named as one of the most influential Black men in America by the National Urban League's Urban Influence Magazine. Ebony Magazine recognized him as an entrepreneurial icon, business mogul and international best-selling author. Raised in the impoverished South side of Chicago, Dr. Gray defied the odds and became a self-made millionaire by the age of 14.
At the age of 21, he received an Honorary Doctorate degree of Humane Letters from Allen University. This was in recognition of his ingenious economic mind and distinguished commitment to the development of values such as leadership, integrity and scholarship. In his rise from poverty to national and international prominence as an entrepreneurial icon and preeminent power speaker, Dr. Gray has inspired millions around the worlds currently an international best selling author, syndicated columnist, professional numismatist the chairman of the Farrah Gray Foundation an educational and social change organization with over 50,000 people signed up, Co-CEO of Realty Pros with 30 million dollars under management. He's also the spokesman for the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Marrow Donor Program. At the age of 24, he has achieved more than many achieve in a lifetime.
