Liquid Soul Media Steps onto the Comedic Stage to Promote Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns Television Series
Atlanta, GA (BlackNews.com) - When TBS, television's top-rated comedy network, needed a creative way to promote its new season of Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns, it turned to Liquid Soul Media (LSM), the lifestyle marketing company based in Atlanta, GA to help bring the laughs.
LSM has developed and is currently executing a faith-based comedy tour titled "Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns: Brown Bag of Comedy" to promote the new season of the top-rated sitcom. Each show is FREE to the public and will be held in popular church venues across five major markets. Scheduled performers include popular faith-based comedians John Gray, Akintunde Kay Bellamy (aka Church Lady), Chocolate and Small Fire.
In addition to the hilarious stage acts, audience members get a chance to watch a never-before-seen episode of Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns, and compete for a chance to win some great prizes.
"We knew going in that we had to find a unique way to engage the target audience while maintaining the comedic energy of the show," says LSM COO Nick Nelson.
The five-city tour kicked off successfully in May at Sharon Baptist Church in Philadelphia with over 2,500 fans in attendance followed by another staggering 3,500 fans this past Friday at Second Ebenezer Baptist Church in Detroit. The Chicago event garnered over 2,000 fans and the final stop in Atlanta is expected to be sold out with over 3,500.
