Jill Scott Files For Divorce, Saying It’s “Unsafe” to Stay Together; Her Husband Responds Calling Her an “Evil Woman”

Nationwide — After just one year of marriage, singer and actress Jill Scott has filed for divorce from her husband, Mike Dobson. According to TMZ, the 45-year old is citing irreconcilable differences.

According to court documents, Scott blames the marriage’s failure on “inappropriate marital conduct that such further cohabitation would be unsafe and improper.”

Dobson, however, did an interview with Bossip.com and said that he was “blindsided” by the divorce. He also referred to Scott as “an evil woman,” and said she had issues with men because she has no men in her family.

The two have reportedly been living in separately since the beginning of September. Dobson is Scott’s second husband. Her first marriage was to Lyzel Williams, a DJ and artist who she married in 2001, but they divorced in 2007.
