Minneapolis, MN — 21-year old twin sisters that are both intellectually disabled were raped, beaten, starved, and tortured while being chained for ten years by their own father, Jerry Lee Curry. Curry, who was has been labeled by some as “the worst father ever,” was arrested back in February.
Both of the twins have sustained injuries that date back from 10 years and are “clinically diagnostic of torture,” according to experts from Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.
The court documents, which did not name the victims, stated the torture the twins suffered. Victim A was said to have been constantly punched that her left ear was “largely detached,” chained tightly that she almost lost her two legs to gangrene, and stomped on the head that she has blinded one eye.
She said he started torturing them when their parents realized they were “sexually active.” They were chained so they could not be able to interact with other men and so they would not eat “too much.”
Victim B was repeatedly raped and even impregnated by her father twice.
“I don’t ever remember having enough food. He forced me to have sex [and] has done this to me every day since I was [in my] early teens or so,” she said. “He did this to my twin sister also.”
They also had an 11-year-old sister who wasn’t chained because she was “too young.” She said she was once struck in the head by her father with a golf club. There were also times her father told her to hit her sisters.
Victim B said their parents used their disability payments to buy alcohol and drugs.
On May 2017, Victim A managed to escape to a Salvation Army and all three of them were eventually removed from the house.
“It feel[s] so good today to not be chained to the bed,” she said after she escaped.
Curry has been taken into custody last February and is being held on $750,000 bail. His partner and the mother of the twins, Sheila Machelle Wilson, was also charged with neglect.
The juvenile court hearing is scheduled this June.
