BET's Longest-Running Network Show, Bobby Jones Gospel, Returns With Its 28th Season of Inspirational, Soul-Stirring Performances Starting Sunday, October 5 at 9:00 A.M.*

Gospel's Signature Show Host Bobby Jones Welcomes a Caravan of Gospel Newcomers and Legends for the Fall 2008 Season

Washington, DC (BlackNews.com) - BET's longest-running gospel program, BOBBY JONES GOSPEL, returns for another divine season of uplifting performances and special appearances -- all hosted by veteran gospel show host, Dr. Bobby Jones. The new fall season will kick off this Sunday, October 5 with a new episode premiere at 9:00 a.m.*, and an encore presentation at 10:00 p.m.*

Joining Dr. Jones this season will be an array of celebrity co-hosts, including Vickie Winans, Richard Smallwood and Byron Cage; star-studded performances from Fantasia, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Pastor Shirley Caesar and Tye Tribbett & G.A., to name a few; as well as special performances by gospel newcomers like Spensha Baker, Damita and BET's SUNDAY BEST winner Crystal Aikin.

This fall marks the 28th season of BOBBY JONES GOSPEL, a long-standing staple among BET shows. The show's executive producers are Stephen Hill, BET Executive Vice President of Music Programming & Talent and interim head of Entertainment; Lynne Harris Taylor, BET Vice President of Specials; and Marilyn Gill. Tia Smith serves as supervising producer.
