About Angela Stribling
Angela Stribling is best remembered for her gorgeous, gracious presence on programs from the classic days of Black Entertainment Television (BET) – four years on the entertainment news show “Screen Scene” and as the summer fill-in host for Donnie Simpson on “Video Soul.” These led to four years of pioneering jazz television on the BET Jazz channel co-hosting the nightly show “Jazz Central” with Chicago legends Ramsey Lewis and Lou Rawls, the TV newsmagazine “BET Jazz Scene,” and the rising stars talent program “BET Jazz Discovery.”

This Buffalo, New York native who is based in the Washington, D.C area is also a classically trained jazz singer with two jazz CDs to her credit – Angela Stribling Live at the Blue Note and Tokyo Sundays. Singing jazz has taken Angela around the globe to China, France, Malaysia, Holland, Burma, South Africa, Singapore, Thailand and Italy. “I’ve learned so much not just musically but how different cultures are within regions of Europe and Asia…priceless lessons for an American.” Stribling is also highly in demand as a celebrity event host and a successful commercial voice over talent working for top shelf clients from Mercedes-Benz to Time-Life.

Angela has humanitarian plans of her own to uplift the inner city of her Buffalo upbringing via a program she hopes to create in collaboration with that city’s Colored Musician’s Club (union) to bring much needed dollars to the ravaged community. “It looks like a war zone in certain areas,” Angela laments. “I want to make a difference.” Angela’s work and celebrity have enabled her to meet, interview, sing to, share stages with and spend rarified quality time among some of the most iconic figures in the world today – from Bill Clinton, Chaka Khan and Al Pacino to Stevie Wonder… and Nelson Mandela.”
