Headquartered in Renton, WA - The Afro Party House is a dynamic web based ethnic party supply company created to provide an alternative to the everyday party supplies on the market. Their mission is to provide quality party supplies that reflect the rich African American culture and to help families create memorable events that reflect who they are. They offer unique party supplies that the entire family can get "jiggy" with. Whether you choose from their exclusive children themes or their distinctive adult themes (coming soon), The Afro Party House is sure to have everything you need to make your party a huge success.
The Afro Party House strives to boost the self esteem of African American children by offering characters with which they can identify. Their vision is to be the best web based African American party supply company in the nation; to be a leader when it comes to birthday parties and other family celebrations; and to enhance our communities by creating opportunity for economic empowerment.
Since their conception in 1998, The Afro Party House has experienced the growing pains that many new companies go through. They were fortunate enough to be one of three finalists for the Miller Entrepreneur Grant Competition in 2004 which took place in Chicago, IL. As a finalist, they presented their business plan to a panel of judges with various professional experiences. Although they were not awarded the grand prize, they were blessed to receive a $2500 award as a finalist. They also received a sizeable donation which enabled them to introduce their fabulous designs to consumers nation-wide.
"We are excited for the opportunity to offer our community party goods that cater to our interest," says The Afro Party House President, Michelle Baptiste. "I feel strongly this is an area that mainstream corporations have overlooked." Ms. Baptiste added, "The Afro Party House intends to make an impact in this industry by offering culturally diverse party goods and to help demonstrate the buying power of the African American consumer."
"We will continue to build our company on the principles of offering products that help families create memorable events that reflect who they are," says Michelle Baptiste.
